About Stephanie
Stephanie is an experienced counselling psychologist, couples therapist, marriage counsellor and is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and also a full member with Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). She obtained her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology in Canada. She is also a certified teacher (Ontario College of Teachers) and loves to work with children and adults.
Stephanie is a specialist couples counsellor and marriage therapist that helps couples resolve issues, and facilitate healing and change to improve relationships. Her other clinical experience include working with children and adults. She is experienced in working with individuals with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, obsessive, compulsive disorder, borderline personality, narcisstic personality, family and relationship issues, sexual trauma, physical abuse, grief, life transitions, and autism spectrum disorder. She has also worked with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder implementing Applied Behavioural Analysis.
Stephanie is an expat and has 10+ years of experience working with couples, children and youth around the world. She has worked in Canada, UK, Qatar and Singapore and likes to meet people from all walks of life. Born in Korea and raised in Canada, she can identify with both Eastern and Western cultures as well as third culture kids.
Stephanie’s counselling and psychotherapy style is client centered and she likes to be a supportive guide walking along side her client. She believes in unconditional positive regard for her clients showing empathy and compassion (Rogerian). She takes an eclectic approach in her counselling integrating Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness based interventions, Gottman Method for Couples Counselling.
