About Taya
Taya is a specialist addiction therapist and professional counsellor. She obtained her Master of Counselling from Monash University, Australia. She is a registered clinical member of Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC) and is in process to obtain registration with Association of Professionals Specialising in Addiction Counselling (APSAC).
Taya believes in providing a safe space for her client. She approaches her session with a collaborative framework, working alongside her clients to achieve their goal. Taya draws from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT).
Taya has worked extensively with client presenting with substance dependency within correctional setting. She conducts drug intervention group therapy for mandated clients, focusing on developing skills to cope successfully with the challenges and demands in their daily lives.
