About Beatrice
Beatrice Ang is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with experience supporting individuals across a range of psychological and emotional concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD/CPTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and adjustment difficulties.
Beatrice is passionate about supporting individuals through the different challenges they may encounter throughout life, particularly those who have experienced adversity. She works collaboratively with clients to develop a deeper understanding of their experiences, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and develop practical and effective coping strategies.
Having worked extensively with adults and older adults from diverse backgrounds, Beatrice takes the time to understand each individual’s unique circumstances, needs, and goals throughout the therapeutic journey.
Beatrice draws upon a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches, Reminiscence Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
She is also trauma-informed and DBT-informed in her practice. Beatrice adopts an integrative approach, working collaboratively with clients to determine the therapeutic approach, or combination of approaches, that best aligns with their individual needs and goals.
Beatrice takes a warm, open, and person-centred approach to therapy, with an emphasis on creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space for clients. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful therapeutic work and seeks to support clients in developing greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and meaningful change at a pace that feels appropriate for them.
Beatrice is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Bahasa Melayu, and is able to provide psychological services in these languages where appropriate.
